Milena Govich
Milena Govich is an actress as well as a
director and musician. She has directed many episodes of TV and film, including
Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). Additionally, she was the
Co-EP/Producing director of Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently
a part of two pilots currently in development. Milena was among eight women who
were selected by AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. She also
participated in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable
was her TV series as well as a short film. Starring Jeff Kober and Laura
Vandervoort It was awarded the Best Episodic Award at Seattle International
Film Festival as and Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. The short
film Temporary (2017) was shown across the country. She was awarded the award
for Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at
Atlanta ShortsFest. and the Director's Choice Award from Sedona International
Film Festival. Milena has been an actor in more than 100 television series. She
first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the
prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis
Leary/FX). She also starred in the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006) that led
to her being the first and only female detective on the Emmy-winning TV series
Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It
or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding
Carter (2014) have all featured her or recurred. Milena has also appeared in
several movies, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011) which
starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015); #Lucky Number
(2015), starring opposite Method Man; and the features Closure (2018), Be the
Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was
the valedictorian of her high-school before she graduated with two major vocal
performances and premed at the University of Central Oklahoma. She also graduated
valedictorian. In the following years, Milena utilised her classical ballet
training to perform on Broadway in the Rob Marshall/Sam Mendes production
'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
