Gillian MacLaren Jacobs
Gillian MacLaren Jacobs born October 19, 1982 , is an American actor from the United States. Her most famous work is her performances as Britta Perry on the NBC comedy series Community (2009-2015), Mickey Dobbs on the Netflix romantic comedy series Love (2016-2018) and Atom Eve on the Amazon animated series Invincible (2021). Mimi Rose Howard played a regular role in the fourth season of the HBO comedy series Girls (2012 to 2017). Gillian MacLaren Jacobs was conceived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 19th 1982. Her mother, Martina Magenau Jacobs, is a member of the alumni relations department at Carnegie Mellon University, while her father, William F. Jacobs Jr., was an investment banker. The death of her father occurred in 2013. Her mother raised her in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Her family owned the Erie Brewing Company (not the same as the subsequent brewery with the same name). As a child, Jacobs attended weekend acting classes at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. She was often a performer at the Pittsburgh Public Theater. There she was a winner of the public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest. That made her want to play Titania in the production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. After graduation from Lebanon High School in 2000 she moved to New York City to study at the Juilliard School. She graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
