Maureen O'Hara Biography
Maureen O'Hara, an American actor and singer of Irish descent was a well-known character. The passionate, passionate and fiery character she played in a variety of American films is what brought attention to the beautiful green eyed beauty. Her beautiful and glamour was much appreciated and she was known as the 'Queen of Technicolor' in Hollywood. Her roles onscreen reflect her brave, strong spirit. She was determined to be recognized and survival in the male-dominated culture. She was always a "tough Irish lass" who will never sacrifice her honor and status to be able to play the roles she wanted through merit. In all her years in the field of film she stood up against discrimination and unfair treatment towards women actors, and for this, she earned many followers. Her autobiography, 'Tis Sheself', published in 2004, provided an honest and unfiltered description of her life experiences including her struggles as she climbed the ladder of success. She was an adventurous woman who wasn't afraid to try herself at her own tricks. Through the years she appeared in over 60 films and earned lots of attention throughout the world. Following her departure from Parra and remarried in 1968 with Charles F. Blair Jr. who was a former brigadier and chief pilot and a pioneer of transatlantic aviation, just to mention several accomplishments. After a few years of their union, O'Hara decided to end her retirement. Blair died tragically during an airplane crash in 1978, ending O'Hara’s joy. She was diagnosed with uterine cancer in the same year. She underwent an immediate operation. She was successful in recovering. Her health began to decline as time went by and she was later diagnosed with six heart attacks short-term memory loss, as well as diabetes mellitus type 2. O'Hara, who was 95 years old old, passed peacefully in Boise (Idaho) on the 24th of October , 2015.
